Edit: Hubby came up with a kind of fitting name Edit 2: some anatomical corrections, her head is much smaller now
Started about.. err.. 2 or so years ago and now finally finished o.O Just happy that its finally done I know that I had some references for the gown/posing back then but they got lost during the time
Anyway lets hope you like it a bit even if its just "girl-in-a-gown"
I really love her dress!!! It is so beautiful! Yet its interest me with her hair flying up and turning into a spirit like bird... very amazing. Good job on this... You should like calll this a bird spirit something if your having a hard time in coming up with a title

Hi Alex. In my humble opinion the arms look a little unaturarl in their pose. and i also think the face proportions are a little off.
i really like the concept tho and it seems to me like the spirit phoenix is whispering. sp maybe you can call it, "whispers of a phoenix." or "secrets of the sphinx"
by the way, do you have some kind of pattern overlayed on it. i see small squares all over the image.
Yes, the arm looks unnatural, like the whole pose no woman would stand like this hehe - but I honestly dont care in that special case I must admit. Its like I said a girl in a gown that doesnt mean anything to me besides the fact that I wanted to "just finish and put it away" Maybe you know those kind of pieces you start years ago- lost the drive/interest/etc. and just finish it because its actually an almost finished piece.
Thanks for the crit though, much appreciated (..just a bit earlier next time k? So I can work on the probs while having the piece in work )
Ah yes its sort of an "invisble watermark" I use this thing on every piece I upload on the net. If you open the piece in IE and mark it it will show some copyright info on it across the whole piece
Hehe you really think? I dont know.. I guess I just dont get the knack for those type of paintings. I just finished it for the sake of finishing it o.O Guess I should try my hands on some of the "cool stuff". I should revisit Justing Sweet and Lockwoods Homepages ehehehe
But glad you like it I was pretty unsure about the turn out of it thanks hon!
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
